Injuries suck! My ankle started to act up again and made me have to slow down on my lower body training again. I am unfortunately seeing my lower body start to store some fat, specially on the lower Glute area. This is frustrating because I can’t push on doing cardio or plyos to help bring down the fatty areas. Nevertheless, it is what it is, I can’t dictate where my body is going to want to store fat. I know that once I am back 100%, the area is going to get tight again. I just need to be patient.

That's not true ladies. You just have to be willing to beat your body up a bit. When I'm training for GROWTH, I stay sore. My lower body would hurt for days, then as soon as it let up I went right back into the gym to beat it up some more! 😓 Get used to the discomfort! Keep pushing the weight until you can't anymore. CONNECT YOUR MIND TO THE WORKING MUSCLE!!!🗣(so important) Stay patient. This transformation shown took 5 years. If you want something bad enough, be patient and do it the right way. I have to say.. nutrition has been on fleek lately 🙌🏼 Macros have increased this week so they’re now 170-180c/50-60f/110-120p and I’m definitely on the top end of these ranges. Ive actually gone to bed hungry all week 😂. Sticking with these numbers now and seeing where I’m at at the end of the week. Wouldn’t it be the best if I could get my carb intake up to 300g a day? 🙏🏼. That could take a while but maybe that will be my new nutrition goal 😂  #newyearsresolution As my intake increases I’ll start dabbling in having some outside food here and there. Like today I got sushi 🍣 and tomorrow I want a donut 🍩 before I do some deadlifts 😂. I typically don’t like to eat out unless it’s a cheat meal or cheat day because the inaccuracy of tracking restaurant foods drives me nuts but as my coach reminded me... I’m not on prep anymore and this is a lifestyle. So you might see some odd ball things every once in a while on my IG story FDOE 😋.

Should you compete if you have a history of binge eating?🤷🏼‍♀️ . Honesty, probably not! BUT - there are exceptions! . Like for myself ⤵️ I binged for YEARS of my life! And I binged in private while pretending to “know it all” and “be so healthy”. I binged so bad I would get physically sick!🤢😷 And if you’ve dealt with, or deal with binge eating, you know that the mental sickness is 10x’s worse! . So how did I know I would be okay to prep?⤵️ I attempted prep a year before actually prepping and realized I wasn’t ready at that time! I stopped 3 weeks into my prep and took a little over a year to work on myself, my habits, and my mindset! About a year had passed and I thought about prepping again! And I thought long and hard for another 2 months. Once I felt confident in my WHY behind competing - I knew I was going to be okay! It had NOTHING to do with the  #goalbody and had so much more to do with the challenge and education that would come along with it! . So, I prepped, didn’t binge ONCE for my whole 6 month prep, and then competed! I stepped off stage and ate a “normal” amount of food that night! . The following weeks, I ate many treats, but never lost control! It was an amazing feeling! I knew that I was over indulging but I was in control! I WANTED to be eating it! It wasn’t an internal struggle between craving and control!🙌🏼 . So, to answer the question if you should compete with a history of food anxiety, eating disorders, or any struggle with food - I would say DO NOT RUSH to make the decision! Give yourself grace and time! The stage will always be there! Your mental and physical health is a balance and practice that needs love and time! Don’t rush it!💗 . Been so busy putting everything else before my training? 💪🏻⠀ 🤶🏼My food has been all over the shop because of Christmas. 🤪⠀ 🎅🏼 f*** it, it’s Christmas I’ll wait till January. ⠀ 🤶🏼I have had so many social occasions this month, I might as wait till January. ⠀ ⠀ I said to someone this week ~ it’s December, it’s not Christmas until the 25th so stop blaming Christmas. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤭🤫⠀ ⠀ Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas 🤶🏼🎅🏼 and I LOVE FOOD as much as the next person. 🤤😂 ⠀ ⠀ What I tell myself is this > if you put in the work now, come January you’ll be ahead. 💪🏻 and well I love the exercising & eating well. 😇🤫 it makes me feel good. 💃🏻 ⠀ ⠀ My tip is this ~ ⠀ ⌚️ plan your day to see when you get your training in even if it’s 30mins. 🙆🏻‍♀️ ⠀ 🥗When you are out and about make healthier choices eg - instead of ordering the 12inch pizza ~ order steak and veggies or salad. 🥩🥗⠀ 🥂 Instead of having cocktails all night, maybe order vodka or gin with a diet soft drink. 🥃 ⠀ 📱 Tracking - do the best you can. If you go over by a few grams it’s not the end of the world 🌎 ⠀ 💦 drink your water.💦 ⠀ ⠀ My number one tip ~ Don’t deprive / restrict yourself over Christmas, miss out on social occasions ~ enjoy yourself and if you apply one from the above it’s better than nothing. 🙌🏼 ⠀ ⠀ At the end of the day, memories lasts. ❤️ ⠀ ⠀ What’s my plan of attack ~ I didn’t track on my actual birthday & the rest of the weekend I did the best I could. ⠀ My plan is to not track Christmas Day / Boxing Day but to get back on track hopefully after that. ☺️ maybe take New Year’s Eve / day off tracking but I’ll see what we have planned. 💃🏻🎉 then track the best I can on the rest. 💪🏻 exercising ~ I’ll be going to the gym most days apart from Christmas Day and maybe New Year’s Day. 💪🏻💦 bottom line - have a great Christmas and don’t sweat the small stuff. ☺️🙏🏼❤️ ⠀ I⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

As I'm still struggling accepting the inevitable weight gain on this bulk, I find it very useful to go back to my old progress pictures on the same weight as I was on my initial cut. It shows so clearly that weight is but one indicator, not the end all be all we so often get too focused on. Weight had been going up slowly but suddenly I've blown past the 200lb mark again which made me uncomfortable a bit, so here's me on the right today, vs me in March this year at the same weight. Sometimes, the day gets crazy and that homemade dinner you had planned doesn't happen and a trip through the drive through happens. Again with my fav, youfoodz choc protein donut. This donut is amazing! The dough is light and fluffy and the filling is so decandent, and creamy. This whole donut has only 27.9 carbs and 5.4 fat, with a massive 24.6g of protein.
