It’s crazy how fast time flies. It feels like just yesterday, we started 2018. But in less than a month, we’re starting 2019. ✨ . Sometimes when you’re living in the moment, you don’t realize. Only times when you sit back and reflect on it... you realize HOW much things have changed. — I realized how much I’VE changed. . I always believed each year is filled with countless tough obstacles, but everything happens for a reason and in the end, it’s to teach you a valuable lesson. The lesson for 2018? Stepping out of my comfort zone and trusting the process. 💕 . 2018 is the year I made myself get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Doing things that scared me. Taking SO many risks that I honestly didn’t even know whether it will pay off or not. I’ll be honest that for MONTHS, it felt like it didn’t. I struggled, failed over and over again and thought about giving up countless times. But for once in my life, I didn’t and I just kept pushing trusting that this WILL happen and it WILL get better. . Less than a month until the end of this year, at the least expected time, things started to go uphill and I can’t wait to share the news and all the opportunities that I’m so thankful to have. ❤️ . 2019 is going to be a great year. KNOW - THE SPLIT - I’m still fanboying on my favorite split PPL (push pull legs) - This is a solid breakdown of what falls where when you are implementing it. - I personally do deadlifts on my pull days and not on leg days but they could fall in either depending on what feels best for you. - First, pick 3-4 exercises per body part for each of the push, pull and leg days. From there, make sure you have 1 strength day and 1 hypertrophy day for each section for the week. - For strength, focus on using the 3-8 rep range, and the 6-12 rep range for hypertrophy. The exercises don't need to be the same for strength and hypertrophy, but some can be the same if you like. Here's an example of a typical pull day for me. - PULL (STRENGTH DAY): Deadlifts: 5 Sets, 3-5 Reps Weighted pull ups: 5 Sets, 5 Reps Rows: 5 Sets, 5 Reps DB Curls: 3 sets 6-8 reps - PULL (HYPERTROPHY DAY) Pull ups: 4 Sets, 10-12 Reps Rows: 4 Sets, 10 -12 Reps Hammer Curls: 4 sets, 10-12 Reps Preacher curls: 4 Sets, 10-12 Reps - Again, this is just an example, you don't have to do these exactly these exercises, it's just supposed to give you an idea. - Once you have determined those things for each push, pull and leg day, you'll be all set! - What is your favorite exercise on this list? Starting position for Deadlifting. Attempted some light deadlifts today. Let’s see how my pelvis and back feels after this... ~ 4 physios in 2 years - once again told that weak glute meds/core are why I’ve got imbalances but despite that I still feel there’s other issues and that something just isn’t right with my hips. I’m just filled with frustration and defeat. ~ I’m regularly pulling and twisting at my hips in a poor attempt to relieve myself of some of the aching and tightness and any “heavy” exercise would just make me ache afterwards ~ This has pretty much caused me to lose confidence in doing any lower body movements for fear of pain, and that my movement patterns are wrong and potentially exacerbating my issues. I have really poor motor control/coordination Basically I have no idea what I’m doing anymore 🤷‍♀️

Being a leader is not something I find to be entirely comfortable. To be sure, I struggle with it at times, but then I’m reminded why I chose this path. With that said, every Captain needs a chair... especially, when their body’s age is about 40 yrs older than their actual chronological age. 👴🏻 You could always buy, or make, your own chair... but the one given to you is priceless.
