{NEW} One Sheet-Pan Garlic Butter Salmon + Red Potatoes 🍋 by  @cleanfoodcrush { This salmon recipe is super quick to put together and even faster on the clean-up duty, thanks to our one-sheet pan method. We love serving this salmon for a quick dinner, but it's equally as great for prepping ahead a few lunches to take with you as your food prep throughout the week. Feel free to double or triple this recipe to fit your family size...just use 2 large sheet pans instead, so there isn't any overcrowding because those potatoes need space to crisp up! } makes 2 servings Ingredients: 2, 6-7 ounce skinless wild salmon fillets 2-3 medium red potatoes, diced into small 0.5" bite sized pieces sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste 2 Tbsps clarified butter, or ghee melted 3 fresh garlic cloves, minced or pressed 1 tsp chili flakes, or to taste 2 Tbsps chopped fresh parsley leaves, to garnish Instructions: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees f. and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a very small bowl add melted butter with minced garlic, chili flakes a pinch of sea salt and pepper. Whisk vigorously to emulsify. On a baking sheet, arrange potatoes in a single layer. Drizzle with half of the garlic butter mixture and toss to get them all coated. Roast in your preheated oven for 8 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and arrange the salmon in between the potatoes. Brush with the remaining garlic butter mixture. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until salmon is cooked through and flaky. Chickpeas tossed in olive oil, almond flour, salt and chili powder and baked on 400 for about 15 minutes. Avocado 🥑 , roasted tomatoes olives...and Kale chopped and tossed in this dressing. Dressing: 1/3 cup  @artisanaorganics raw tahini (also works with cashew butter), 1/3 cup warm water, 1 tablespoon hemp seeds, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon  @kitehillfoods almond milk yogurt, 1 teaspoon  @sirkensingtons mustard, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 3 cloves garlic. Hasselback Potatoes w/ Wild Garlic & Cashew Pesto 🥔🌿 by  @vegaliciously 🍃 . Ingredients: 100 g wild garlic or basil leaves 100 g cashew nuts 1/3 cup olive oil 1/2 rsp salt — 400 g potatoes METHOD: 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. 2. Place wild garlic, nuts, oil and salt in a food processor and process until creamy. 3. Place potatoes between the handles of 2 wooden spoons and cut into thin slices. 4. Place on a baking tray covered with baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes. 5. Brush the potatoes with pesto and bake for another 5 minutes. 6. Enjoy!

Still working on opening that jar of pickles..😬 But seriously, this year was the first time in my life I added heavy (well heavy for me) weights into my work-outs and I feel good 🥊 in the past, I have always been a cardio bunny because i was always afraid of getting “bulky.” Strength was never something I desired, I worked out because I wanted to be skinny. If I ever indulged the first words out of my mouth would be “im going to the gym for two hours tomorrow” - working out isn’t supposed to be a punishment for enjoying food or a lazy day. Now, I look forward to my workouts and the fact that I can be stronger and energized from them. I crave weights or a quick peleton ride because its my time to clear my head. And if I’m not feeling it.. I don’t beat myself up for missing. Just like anything else in life, working out can be an addiction and be used negatively🙅🏻‍♀️

A triple-ruffle dish of charred Savoy cabbage, pantacce pasta and crispy prosciutto, topped with scallions, in a mascarpone sauce. __________________ In a hot cast iron skillet, add a small bit of neutral oil and cook a 4 or 5 oz. pack of prosciutto on medium-low heat until crispy and some fat has rendered out. Flip occasionally, remove from heat and set aside when crispy. Repeat with all the remaining prosciutto. In the same pan, turn up heat to medium-high, then cook torn Savoy cabbage leaves (from a small head) in a single layer until some spots have charred. Remove and set aside; work in batches if needed. __________________ Meanwhile, in a medium-large pot, bring enough water to a boil. Cook ½ lb. of pasta of your choice according to package directions. Drain and reserve about ½ cup of pasta water. Return pasta back into pot, turn heat down to low/simmer and add in about ½ cup of mascarpone cheese. Cover and let mascarpone melt into a silky sauce, about 1 minute. Uncover, stir to coat pasta with mascarpone, add a bit of pasta water (or more mascarpone) if things look a little dry. When pasta is well-coated, stir in the charred cabbage and transfer to a serving dish. Top with the reserved crispy prosciutto, thinly sliced scallions, black pepper/chili pepper flakes, and a very small amount of salt to taste as the prosciutto will be very salty. A squeeze of lemon all around would be great too. 〰️

This is one of my favorite quick meals to prep for a weeknight dinner✔️. ____ What’s in my bowl Cooked  @buyranchdirect grass fed beef with  @fourthandheart California garlic ghee and  @primalpalate taco seasoning. __ Air fried plantain chips and zucchini chips. A lot can change in a course of 10 years, and the roundness of my own face is a prime example.😱The first photo was my sophomore year of high school, before the first time I had ever lost a significant amount of weight. (Needless to say that I definitely didn’t peak in back then! 😅)The second, end of grad school after losing weight end of high school, gaining the freshman/all of undergrad 50+, and then losing some of that weight once again. The third is now, after putting a good chunk of the weight I lost in grad school back on after a significant lifestyle change, aka that big girl job. 🌿 . . My relationship with food will never not be a challenge (to say the least), but now my goals are different than in the past. I want to change my eating habits for health benefits such as increased energy, reduced cravings, clear skin, and so many more. Though changes in my physical appearance will be huge added bonus, this is the first time in my life it is not the ONLY reason I am choosing to eat natural, unprocessed foods and maintain a consistent workout routine. This healthy dish is a go-to at our house and is so easy to make during those busy week nights. I sautéed cubed sweet potato and sweet onion in  @chosenfoods avocado until caramelized and soft. I then added organic ground turkey and cooked until well done. I added  @traderjoes taco seasoning and salsa verde to give it a punch, and added organic black beans, shredded goat cheese, and cilantro! That’s it! Top with avocado and serve with chips of a tortilla or just eat as is! Breakfast is inarguably the most important meal of the day, and I never skip it. And South Indian breakfast is undeniably, my most preferred 😋 !! And when it comes to that, I'm always a dosa person, because they're are something that I love experimenting with, as that's almost like a meal in disguise of a crispy tasty brekkie ! These Moong Daal Dosas, as by the name, are made with a lentil and oat flour, which raises the health quotient, and a filling of paneer, with a side of coconut-peanut chutney, which makes them so filling and tasty !! Overall, a great way to start the day and not a single reason to complain 😄 !! What type of dosa do you prefer ? . INGREDIENTS FOR DOSA *1 cup yellow moong dal/ petite yellow moong lentils (soaked in water for 5-6 hours,rinsed, drained and then ground into a smooth batter by adding 1/2 cup water) *1/4 cup oats flour *2 tbsp semolina *1/3 cup chopped dill leaves *1 tsp red chilli powder *salt to taste . INSTRUCTIONS 1 = In a moong dal batter, add rest of the ingredients. Give it a good mix. Add more water if batter seems too thick. 2 = Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup batter, spread it in a circular motion to make thin crepes. Cook from both the sides until golden brown and crisp. serve with paneer filling and your favourite chutney! . PANEER FILLING ➡️ Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Crackle 1/2 tsp cumin seeds. Add 1 tsp chopped green chillies and 1/3 cup chopped onion and sauté till translucent. Add in 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes along with 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp dry mango powder and salt. Sauté till tomatoes turn tender. Now add 1 cup grated paneer(cottage cheese) and mix well. All about this post : NO FILTER Air Fried Atlantic Cod from  @wealthofhealth1616 one of the freshest frozen fish I have ever tried . Did you know frozen fish is more fresh than fish you would normally buy from a fish market ? Or maybe your thinking ew gross why is she eating frozen fish . . . Did you know that fish is frozen directly on the boat just minutes after being caught at a far below temperature to maintain freshness ? . . Most of our fish is imported and most of which are labeled fresh are in fact previously frozen . Not all fish markets do reveal this . It also really depends on where you live . But yet not all frozen fish are created equal . . . Two ways to know if your frozen fish is fresh is if it is vaccum sealed . The normal frozen fish comes pieces all stuck together those are NOT the best or if they have freezer burn. . . You can also tell by the flesh if it is uniform and not faded which means the fish is aged and won’t be as tasty . . . All in all Cod was perfectly moist , no smelly odor and they were perfect with my gluten free low carb crumbs . I added some arrowroot to dip in before I dipped it into the crumbs . .. Did someone say stuffed roasted sweet potatoes?! 🍠 🧡These are so GOOD! You have to try them. Roasted sweet potatoes stuffed with spicy chorizo & black beans, topped with guacamole, cilantro and tomatoes 🤤🤤  #thehealthycocina What you’ll need 4 medium sweet potatoes 1 pkg chorizo  @mulayssausage 1 can  @naturalgrocers black beans, rinsed and drained 1 tomato, diced 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped 1 cup Guacamole Salt & Pepper Avocado oil Cut the sweet potatoes in half, season with S&P and avocado oil (rub both sides, including the skin) Place them face down on a cooking sheet & bake for 30-35min at 350°. Meanwhile cook the chorizo, or you can substitute with ground turkey or meat. Once cooked add the black beans to the chorizo & heat for a few minutes. Once the sweet potatoes are done, (they should be fork-tender)with a fork mash the inside of the sweet potato, making room for the chorizo & black beans. Top them with guacamole, tomato, & cilantro.

Happy Tuesday IG peeps, I debated sharing this recipe because I didn’t feel it was pretty enough and curry is so hard to photograph!!! But, what it doesn’t have in looks it makes up in taste 😂. It’s so good that you’ll want to lick the sauce off the bowl. And THATs a serious claim. Making a pot of curry is also such an act of self care and nourishment! I love making it with a girlfriend and connecting over a bowl. Thank you  @fourdragons_taichi for helping me up my curry game! . dEats: in a large pan or pot heat 2 tbsp  @drbronner coconut oil with 3-4 tbsp curry paste. Read your ingredients! I love  @thaikitchen brand. When fragrant add in a can of coconut milk, 1-2 tbsp peanut butter and 1-2 tbsp  @redboatfishsauce . As it comes to boil, I added sweet potatoes, purple carrots and let cook for 10 minutes, covered on medium heat before adding mushrooms, broccoli and green onions. Cook covered on low until all veggies are tender but not too soft. You can add protein(fish, chickpeas, chicken) but I decided to keep mine veggie and added pumpkin and hemp seeds for protein. I wouldn’t have been handle last week in my early twenties- showing up for others and putting myself second (or third). My early twenties were so CONSUMED with perpetual thoughts around food😳. I had so many rules and “markers” I had to hit each week under the GUISE of “goals” and “health”. It was the worry about what to eat, when to eat, and then the panic of wondering if I ate too much or the wrong thing. I wouldn’t have ever been able to put others before me because I had such fear as to what would happen if I let myself miss a workout, or not eat perfectly. God forbid I miss a Monday 🤦‍♀️ So many of my clients are THERE too, which is my reminder that peace around food is possible. My clients find me when they hit the place where they feel “consumed” and a SLAVE to food and are over the exhausting and endless cycle. 2019 is the year I help MORE people in new ways. I’m working on such fun 🤗 stuff that it was frustrating to have to put it on hold last week. I jumped right back in yesterday because I was excited! But also because I was worried I would fall behind on my (self imposed) deadlines. Today I gave myself grace as I am sick with the snotfest 🤣😪. I slept. I baked. I nourished my body by doing less. And soon, I’ll be back to me so I can BRING IT ♥️tell me, what are you looking to do differently in 2019? ✨drop one intention below 🥰

🍌PLATANITOS🍌I’ve gotten a lot of DM’s on how I prepare these and it is really so simple🤷🏽‍♀️Most store bought plantain chips are fried in processed oils! But why not bake them? They’re just as good or better. Here’s how: —— • 1 almost ripe plantain (should be yellow and soft but not too soft) • Cut into thin slices • Spray or coat with avocado oil • Add salt/pepper or the spices of your choice • Bake at 380 for about 25 mins and flip mid way through (should brown a bit on each side) —— That’s it🤷🏽‍♀️Super simple and so delicious

Add 1 cup of almond milk and 1 chai tea bags to a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Turn off heat and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bag and transfer chai almond milk to a closeable container, like a mason jar, to keep in the fridge. (…  #healthyhack: use the  @nectarandgreen Spice almond milk and skip this step. ✌🏼) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once the chai milk has cooled, add 1/2 a frozen banana, 1/3 cup frozen riced cauliflower, 1/2 -1 cup of chai almond milk (start with less - you want it to be thick), 1 serving of collagen peptides (I like  @vitalproteins), 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1 tablespoon almond butter, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 pitted Medjool date, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt to a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy and transfer to a bowl. Top coconut flakes and anything else you want. Enjoy!

To blacken peppers cut them in half and remove the cores. Place core sides down on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Rub with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt. Roast in preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. I like 375 because it minimizes oxidation on the oil while still being hot enough to BLACKEN. . To remove the skins, transfer hot blackened peppers to a bowl and seal with plastic to keep in the steam. Once it's cool, slip off the skins. Enjoy with pasta, in salads, with eggs, or in roasted veg sandwiches. 🍞🥑🌶🌶🥪 Roast zucchinis, eggplant, and most veg the same way. 🌾

Happy  #toasttuesday! Do you have days when you are indecisive? ⠀ .⠀ I couldn't decide if I wanted sweet or savoury for breakfast and so I had ...BOTH! Hehe. ⠀ .⠀ For the savoury: I toasted a slice of seeded sourdough from  @basementcafeandbakery and topped it with avocado and a roast cranberry, goldenberry thyme relish (It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!). (This has got to be the easiest relish I have ever made!). The tanginess of the relish contrasts with the smooth creaminess of the avocado.⠀ .⠀ For the sweet, I topped the toast with vanilla soya yoghurt  @alpro (It tastes amazing; like creme anglais!), raw dried cacao-covered goldenberries  @naturesheartuk (my favourite) and some berries and pumpkin seeds. What a feast!! ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Goldenberries are rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, high in protein, vitamin A, iron, vitamin C, potassium, fibre and B vitamins (B1, B2 and B6).
