“All you talk about is the gym”. - “So what do you do other than work and workout?”. - “Why are you always at the gym?”. . . These are only a few of the statements/questions I hear on a weekly basis. What many do not realize is the gym is an escape for many people, including myself. I spend anywhere from 5-10mins prior or after my workout meditating about life. I come in here and leave all my worries at the door, leave all my struggles at the door, and leave all my doubts at the door. The gym has saved my life more times than I can count. . . This lifestyle isn’t about looking good naked, looking jacked, or having the perfect body. It’s about evolving and growing in ways you could only imagine.

Truth of the matter is, I was running on fumes this afternoon. I just got off of work, where I was running off of only 3-4 hours of sleep and honestly the last place I wanted too be was in the gym. But sometimes we have to remind ourselves, this is what truly distance ourselves from the average. The average skips workouts because they’re sleepy or because they aren’t in the mood to lift today. The average has more off days than they do days where they do the little things that they don’t wanna do. You will never get to where you want to be by being average. - - I could have easily went home and gone too bed, knowing I have to be up at 2:00am for work. But there is just something inside of me that doesn’t want to settle for average.

Sooo I posted a Billy Madison meme on my story for more than just a little chuckle. I was foreshadowing a big announcement I wanted to make before I crashed for this evening. - - Those that know me know how much I value growing the mind as we travel through out our life time. I believe we should always learn new things, new skills, and challenge the brain to grow. Therefore I am thrilled to announce that I have decided to go back too school, in order to obtain a degree in physical therapy. This is a field that I wish I could go back to my early 20s and study, but sometimes life has to take the long way around to come full circle.
