What’s more impressive my lift or that neck vein? 😂 • When people ask what do you lift for, my answer is simple, it’s moments like this. We work for months just for those few minutes on that platform. Powerlifting is part of something so much bigger than yourself, and I love that. • Can’t wait to see what I bring to the platform in July 😈 . . .  #uspapowerlifting  #gwpl  #girlswholift  #neverstrongenough  #uspapower  #squat  #bench  #deadlift  #powerlifting  #scwinterbash  #alwayshungry

Little meet recap, went 8/9 and met my goal of qualifying for nationals in Vegas in July! • Squat: Opener- 231.5 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ Second- 248.0 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ Third(shown)- 259.0 🔴⚪️🔴 (depth) • Bench: Opener- 126.8 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ Second- 132.3 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (PR) Third(shown)- 143.3 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (PR) • Deadlift: Opener- 292.1 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ Second- 308.6 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (PR) Third(shown)- 325.2 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (PR) • Words cannot express how grateful I am for the numbers I put up. Three days prior messing up my back to the point I couldn’t bend over had me very discouraged that I’d even be able to deadlift at all. So we played it safe so I could have a good day. • There’s so many people to thank for the amazing day I had God being most important for helping guide me through it.  @bamaburr for handling me,  @rodgersreset for helping me with all my mobility to help me be able to lift,  @hamstringpapi for calling good numbers,  @charliebink1ey for keeping me sane going into weigh ins and all my friends who came out to support me 💕 This might be an individual sport but I couldn’t have done any of this alone. & thank you to my coach for the last 15 weeks of training  @chrisruden.

Let’s talk mental health. A topic I never realized had so much importance until I went through it myself. Anxiety is a little bitch and it’s so much easier said than done to just “get out of your head” • Last Monday I was told some bad news that really got into my head. With anxiety getting to me I could barely squat 225 (on the left), mentally this destroyed me. I wasn’t able to hit any of my numbers needed for that day and I just broke down. I didn’t think I’d be ready for my meet, good enough, etc etc. BUT here we are a week later, moving 240 (on the right) for a double with more in the tank. It really proved to me that my mental is way stronger than my body ever will be. I had friend tell me “you do this because you love it and what powerlifting does for you, remember that”. My point is failure is okay, giving up isn’t. Take a step back and reevaluate, then go again. It also helps having the right people in your corner🖤 • @chrisruden @rodgersreset 12 MORE DAYS
